Flower delivery to Zalešany from Kutná Hora
The municipality of Zalešany lies about 14 km west of Kolín. The nearby village of Přebozy is also part of the municipality.
The municipality is first mentioned in the first half of the 12th century; in 1167, King Vladislav II gave it to the Premonstratensian monastery in Litomyšl. The chapel of St Ludmila, the wayside shrine of St Francis and a stone cross stand in Zalešany. The now-defunct Delicia dairy was, according to the Cesty a památky portal, the first powdered-milk factory in Czechoslovakia. The Pečky–Kouřim railway line runs through Zalešany and opened in 1882, after which the number of houses in the municipality rose considerably.
