Tři Dvory lies about 4 km east of Kolín, on road II/322. A lit, asphalt cycle path connects the village with Kolín.

The village is first mentioned in writing in 1387. That year, Petr ze Smíženic and Hamon z Kunčic sold it to the town of Kolín. The Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, dating from 1891, belongs to the Roman Catholic parish of Konárovice. Tři Dvory is known for its natural swimming pool, around which the Elbe Cycle Route 24 runs.
