The municipality of Toušice lies about 15 km west of Kolín, in the Kouřimsko microregion. The village of Mlékovice is also part of the municipality.

The first written reference to Toušice dates from 1207. The Trmal family of Toušice, part of the local gentry, had its seat here in the Middle Ages. South of the site of the former Trmal stronghold, a Baroque stone bridge with five arches crosses the stream; it is listed as a cultural monument. The village also has a red-sandstone bell tower dating from 1859 and a stone memorial to the victims of the First World War.
