The municipality of Ratboř includes the parts of Sedlov and Těšínky. It lies about 7 km south-west of Kolín. Ratboř has a railway station on the Kolín–Ledečko line.

The Church of St Wenceslas stands on a rise in the centre of Ratboř and is recorded as a parish church as early as 1352. It is surrounded by a cemetery enclosed by a stone wall. A memorial cedar grows beside the cemetery's southern wall on the eastern edge of Ratboř; local tradition says it was planted in 1918. Architect Jan Kotěra built the New Chateau in Ratboř from 1911 to 1913 for the Mandelík sugar-industry family.
