Krychnov is a small municipality west of Kolín. It has been a municipality in its own right since 1992. The first written record of the municipality dates to 1436.

In June 1757, Austrian Field Marshal Leopold Josef Daun had his headquarters in Krychnov and directed preparations for the Battle of Kolín from there. A chapel of the Virgin Mary stands in the municipality. The gate of a farmstead is a protected cultural monument.
